Vilnius University Library Scientific Communication and Information Center (MKIC) – VU library branch in Saulėtekis science and studies valley. 4 faculties of Vilnius University, National Research Centers of Physical and Technological Sciences and Life Sciences, and other institutions are also located in the territory of this valley.

Distinguished by its modern environment, MKIC works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There are over 800 workplaces in the user zones. Visitors can use specialized reading rooms, individual work booths, group work and seminar rooms, a modern conference hall, a children’s playroom, and an IT laboratory. For the convenience of users, rest areas and a cafe have been established in the center.

The library often hosts exhibitions and various educational, art, and cultural initiatives.
The center has installed building operation and publication transportation systems based on the latest technologies. The underground storage and technical floors are equipped with a modern publication transportation system and the latest security systems.
