Gallery (AV17)
(AV17) gallery, founded in 2011, is one of the few galleries operating in Lithuania that exclusively presents contemporary object, sculpture, installation and conceptual jewelry art. The gallery cooperates with well-known creators of conceptual sculpture both in Lithuania and abroad, and also pays a lot of attention to presenting the creative pursuits of promising young artists. By presenting young artists, the gallery aims to create a favorable field for new searches and presentation of contemporary art. (AV17) also represents the work of the artists it represents on an international scale, thus promoting wider recognition of Lithuanian artists abroad. Not limited to exhibitions in exhibition spaces, (AV17) gallery is open to new opportunities for collaboration and is looking for creative ways and non-traditional locations to present contemporary art. Educational activities developed not only in the gallery, but also outside it include informal meetings with artists, creative workshops, lectures and other events aimed at presenting contemporary art to the general public.
The main goal of the gallery is to popularize contemporary art among different audiences, to promote awareness and interest in it, using various creative and relevant tools for today’s people. In the context of Lithuania (AV17) remains a unique space focusing on the presentation of creative searches in different fields of art.
