Restaurant “Ertlio namas”

Welcome to the “Ertlio namas”. A unique family space where refined historic Lithuanian cuisine blends tastefully with modern culture and technology.

Lithuanian historical cuisine is seasonal, serving whatever is available at the time, whether picked in the garden, hunted in the forest, or caught in the river or lake. Lithuanian cuisine has always been open to the culinary winds of Western and Southern Europe, and the cuisine of the peoples who settled in Lithuania has also become its own.

We have carefully studied the recipes found in the archives of manors and monasteries, solved the mysteries of Lithuanian “kuchmistras” and recreated authentic dishes from the medieval, Renaissance and Baroque eras, and interpreted them in a modern way. When you arrive at the restaurant, you can enjoy dishes that might have graced the dinner tables of influential manors and that were enjoyed by the Radvilas themselves – important and influential figures in Europe at that time.

In the 17th-century house built by Jurgis Ertlis, Master of the Masons and Carpenters’ Guild, you’ll learn about history in a different way – not through museums, books or guidebooks. Here you will breathe, smell and taste authentic history. You will marvel, marvel, rediscover and enjoy.
