Arriving in Vilnius
By bus, train, car, or on foot... Choose the most convenient way to arrive.
We do not dare to say that all roads lead to Vilnius, but those planning to visit here will certainly not get lost. This section briefly presents information about arriving in Vilnius, depending on how you intend to do so. Let’s leave the exploration, the wandering, and the discoveries to the study of the city – arriving here shouldn’t be a problem.
For those arriving by their own transport
Parking your car
Parking in the city centre is subject to a charge, which may vary depending on the zone. For more detailed information, visit: judu.lt
You can pay for parking at ticket machines or by downloading the ‘m.Parking’ mobile app.
If you would prefer to reduce your costs, we recommend the ‘Park and Ride’ service.
‘Park and Ride’
This service is for those who want to leave their vehicle in a designated carpark and continue their journey to the centre of town on public transport. The combined ‘Park and Ride’ ticket, priced at €0.50, is valid until the car leaves the car park the same day. More information about the service, visit judu.lt.
For those arriving by intercity transport
Train or bus
Taking a trip to Vilnius can become precious ‘me time’. Just think of how you can create quality time for yourself – the kilometres travelled can turn into pages read of a book, letters answered, holidays planned, or simply moments of undisturbed relaxation. You are just a few clicks away from purchasing a train ticket from ltglink.lt or a bus ticket on autobusobilietai.lt.
Onward transport on arrival
The bus and train stations are both just on the edge of the capital’s Old Town – just a 7-minute walk away. However, if you need to travel further, we suggest planning the most convenient public transport route by checking out judu.lt or Trafi.
