Vilnius Rooftops: Celebrate the 6th Birthday of ‘Neakivaizdinis Vilnius’
We invite you to celebrate the 6th birthday of NEAKIVAIZDINIS VILNIUS by ‘going up in the world’ and walking vertically instead of horizontally! As many as 11 of the most iconic panoramas of Vilnius will be revealed from the rooftops to those who ascend the height of 633.39 m – the equivalent of two TV towers built on top of each other, or twice the height of Aukštojo Hill, the highest place in Lithuania. This is the sum of the heights of the 11 skyscrapers participating in the initiative. Even if you grab the chance to go up just one of them, you will see the city from a different perspective!
N.B. Pre-registration for the event is not required. However, please note: on-site registration (with photo ID) will be required to enter two buildings—’Victoria’ Business Centre and Vilnius City Municipality. The rooftops will be open on 26 April from 10.00–20.00 (last admission at 19.30). Volunteers from ‘Neakivaizdinis Vilnius’ will be waiting to welcome participants to each building. A map of the locations can be found here.
The panoramic rooftop terraces can be accessed either by climbing the stairs or taking the lifts. Participants in the ‘Neakivaizdinis Vilnius’ birthday party will not only be able to enjoy a bird’s eye view of the capital from the rooftop terrace of the building of their choice, but they will also receive a special ‘Vertical Collection’ sticker to commemorate the event. Those who climb the stairs will earn a gold sticker.

- ‘Business Stadium West‘Business Centre (‘Hanner’)
Rinktinės g. 5 (no access via the stairs – lift access only)
This was once a place where football fans used to gather. Now, this eight-storey business centre occupies the site of the legendary Žalgiris Stadium. The design of the first building in the new business district in the centre of Vilnius is a nod to the past, with a glass atrium based on the shape of the stadium’s former scoreboard. The roof of the building is equipped with a solar power plant and offers a unique view of the Gediminas Castle Tower.

- ‘Eastnine Uptown Park’ and ‘Vinted’ Business Centre
Švitrigailos g. 13 (stair access available)
In Vilnius, unicorns are concentrated in the fast-developing Naujamiestis district. One of the most prominent of these, ‘Vinted’ – the clothing exchange and shopping start-up, is located in the ‘Eastnine Uptown Park’ building. The six-storey office building has a green courtyard and a rooftop terrace, offering a new angle on the New Town.

‘Europa’ Business Centre (‘Hanner’)
Konstitucijos pr. 7A (stair access available)
Stretching 148.30 metres up to the heavens, the Europa Business Centre is the tallest commercial building in Lithuania and the Baltic States. The 33-storey building has become a symbol of modern architecture in Vilnius and is visible from many parts of the city. From its ‘top’, the other urban hills on the right bank of the Neris, the river itself, and the rooftops of the Old Town are all visible.

Lvivo g. 21A (stair access available)
‘Flow’, which opened only last year, consists of two connected parts of the building consisting of 15 and 20 floors. From the terrace, you can take in the Šnipiškės district and the riverbank of the Neris. The project is distinguished by its integrated public art – the inner courtyard is open to all city residents.

- ‘Sky Office’ Business Centre (‘YIT Lietuva’)
Spaudos g. 7 (stair access available)
Feeling brave? Will you dare to enter the one-of-a-kind balcony on the 18th floor? This small viewing platform is the first and so far only one in Vilnius made entirely of glass, including the floor. It is considered the architectural ‘jewel in the crown’ or ‘cherry on the cake’ of this business centre; it’s a symbol highlighting the extreme realities of modern life. From the balcony, you can gaze out over Viršuliškės, Karoliniškės, and the south-western part of Vilnius. The glass façade of the building is designed to reflect the sky so that the skyscraper seems almost to melt away when viewed from afar.

- ‘Victoria’ Business Centre (‘Darnu Group’)
Jasinskio g. 16B (no access via the stairs – lift access only)
This was one of the first glass skyscrapers in Vilnius, built back in 2009. The impressive height of the building and its shape, which is reminiscent of a paperclip, make it one of the most recognisable skyscrapers in the city centre. The building is topped by the highest bridge structure in Lithuania – an observation deck suspended 61 metres above ground that boasts views overlooking Naujamiestis, Gediminas Avenue, and the Old Town.

- Vilnius City Municipality
Konstitucijos pr. 3 (stair access available)
In 1999, Vilnius City Municipality came up with the idea of bringing the city’s departments, which had been scattered all along Gediminas Avenue, under one roof. Five years later, the new Municipality building opened its doors in the Lithuanian capital. The 21-storey vertical building has quite a prominent presence in the city’s skyline, almost as if it is greeting those who arrive here with a warm welcome. This is the largest municipal building in Lithuania. More information can be found in another ‘Neakivaizdinis Vilnius’ guide – the building has been included as the 8th stop on the thematic ‘Vertical Vilnius’ route.
