The Energy and Technology Museum
The Energy and Technology Museum was founded in 2003. in the premises of the first public Vilnius power plant and is the largest museum of its kind in Lithuania, where a unique industrial heritage, interactive scientific knowledge and cultural events can be found under one roof.
The main purpose of the museum is to collect, preserve, restore, research, exhibit and promote the history of Lithuanian energy and technology. Museum: does research and educational work; prepares expositions, exhibitions, excursions, educations, lectures and publications; organizes creative leisure and cultural events; maintains relations with similar organizations in Lithuania and other countries.
The Museum of Energy and Technology is interactive and family-friendly, the ETM Children’s Station and the exhibition “Technical science and technology for children” have been established here.
