Šeškinės park

Šeškinė – a new recreation area for pedestrians and cyclists. The uniqueness of the recreational area is that the largest rainwater treatment plant in Lithuania and a purified water reservoir have been installed here.

In the green area surrounded by trees, there are pedestrian and bicycle paths, a children’s playground, benches with tables, and rest areas in the area near Ozo and Siesikų Streets. The bottom and inner slopes of the reservoir are planted with plants that improve the chemical and biological properties of water: narrow-leaved sedges, tall sedges, marsh sedges, red and marsh sedges.

It is interesting that the treated rainwater reservoir holds 20,000 cubic meters of water. In case of natural rain, it would fill up in 42 minutes. The maximum depth of the warehouse is 4 meters
