Sapieha Palace

The Sapieha Palace is a significant monument of architecture, art, and history – the residence of the Sapieha nobles of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, a Trinitarian monastery and church ensemble, and later a hospital building or part of a military complex.

The new branch of the Contemporary Art Centre (CAC)  aims to become a bright and vibrant place on the cultural map of Vilnius, inspiring and providing an opportunity for all groups of society to broaden their cultural horizons in an exceptional environment. Through its activities, the Sapieha Palace raises issues of heritage preservation and adaptation to modern life, creates open and harmonious relationships with like-minded people in the fields of culture, art and science, and establishes ties with partners and city communities. The spaces of the Palace are adapted not only for exhibiting art and other artifacts, but also for various events.
