Vilnius University Observatory of Ideas
The Observatory of Ideas at Vilnius University is a space for education, leisure, art and science communication in the unique location of the historical Observatory complex.
In the newly renovated science base, you can visit the Great Astronomical Tower, while the telescopes in the pavilion’s towers invite you to take a journey through the night sky. The Observatory, curated by the Vilnius University Museum, has become a space offering education and excursions for children and their parents, schoolchildren and adults, giving them an opportunity to get closer to astronomy and other sciences, as well as to learn more about the Observatory’s special features.
The Vilnius University Observatory of Ideas is open to scientists, researchers and artists, who are invited to present their work to the public, organise exhibitions and public lectures, and science and art communication organisations are invited to collaborate with us and develop new projects.
