Huracán Coffee

Imagine: Jules from Pulp Fiction opens a café after a spiritual retreat. The interior is designed by a somewhat restless architect who lost his head over dioramas in childhood – and has never outgrown it. The feeling is more like a tavern than a café. Taverns tell better stories.

The bar is quadrilateral, in the center of the hall. Like an altar for rituals. Here, baristas perform ritual battles: in glass coffee pots, they disturbingly pour the burbons and pacamaras with precisely measured water temperatures. They speak little, always silent, though they know more. They move slowly, on purpose – as if they were trained by monks. Or mobsters.

This is a roasters’ café. The bean shelf is tickets to different corners of the world. There is no kitchen. No Benedicts and toasts. Coffee comes here. You pretend to understand those combinations of Arabicas and processing methods. Although they sound more like vintage notes: black Honey. Hermanos Cordova. Pink Bourbon. Sudan Rume. Marsellesa.

In the shadows of Vokiečių street. So Instagrammable.

The hosts recommend a taste

In summer – Nitro On Tap. In winter – Caffè Mocha. Always – pour over from the best seasonal roasted beans.
