“gallery 1986”

“gallery 1986” is a space of more than 1,000 square meters located in the former radio factory in Vilnius Naujamiestis district in 2021, intended for the implementation of various events – concerts, dances, theater, contemporary art or cinema.

This open cultural laboratory boldly experiments with different elements of the night, the city and the present, and the carefully curated program of events focuses on the relevance and artistic value of the artists, events and experiences presented here.

The “gallery 1986” initiative, guided by new searches for community, is open to various interdisciplinary adventures and collaborations with other field participants. During the first year of operation, joint projects with the documentary film festival “Nepatogus kinas”, the contemporary art space “Swallow”, the Lithuanian National Drama Theater and “Radio Vilnius” were successfully implemented here, creating new connections and cultural routes in the city of Vilnius.
