Fabijonas site

The Fabijonas site, a new stone sculpture space next to the sports and playground complex, is an atypical place for community gatherings, cooking, socialising and cultural activities.

This lounge and barbecue area, made up of sculptural stone elements, deck chairs, a table with benches, a barbecue and a fire pit, is a completely unique artistic highlight in Fabijoniškės. It aims to create a cosy and sustainable social context and invites residents to enjoy quality leisure time without having to move too far from their homes and without having to travel by car to the city centre or to nature.

The new attraction could expand in the future to become a place for gardening, an unconventional place for workshops, cookery classes, a platform for various artistic interventions or performances. The authors of this project and the coordinators of the accompanying activities are artist Bert Jacobs, sculptor Daumantas Kučas, landscape architect Sigita Simona Paplauskaitė and art curator Justė Kostikovaitė.
